"I'm not just hip-hop," Tim insisted. "My mission is to take over top-40 radio — what they call popular music, different genres of music — and reach all types of people."

It seems like Tim reached out to almost everyone in every corner of the music industry for the project, which he's calling a compilation. One track is "what everybody is waiting for," he revealed, "me and Dr. Dre. I did [the beat], it's hard. I got 50, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne. The other stuff is rock: She Wants Revenge, the Hives, I'm about to get the Fall Out Boys, Björk, Elton John." Tim went on to say that he's interested in eventually signing the Hives and M.I.A.

"Last Piece of the Puzzle," his collabo with John, was recorded in Las Vegas. "It was cool. I didn't have him sing, I had him play. I was like, 'Go ahead, John.' I might get a choir to sing on top of it."

Tim's album will come out via his Mosley Music imprint, like Nelly Furtado's Loose. He's hoping to have the LP ready for a March release date.

12:40pm 13/11/2006
Justin Timberlake is working on Duran Duran's new album, along with superproducer Timbaland, who created recent smash hits for both Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, the British band said.

"We've got some good stuff happening," said lead singer Simon LeBon. "We've done three tracks with Timbaland; we've collaborated in a writing and production manner on one of those tracks with Justin Timberlake. We've got a lot really hot producers who are hotly interested in working with us at the moment. We are in a very good space."

3 6 & MTV
11:17am 22/09/2006
Memphis, Tenn.-based rap group Three 6 Mafia has teamed with MTV for a new comedic reality series. The show, titled Adventures in Hollyhood, is set in Los Angeles and follows the Oscar-winning collective and their entourage as they set out to Hollywood in an effort to make the most of their fame and "establish themselves as Hollywood players." "The show…is about us winning the Oscar and coming--not moving--to LA - we still live in Memphis, but we got spots in Los Angeles to capitalize and chase paper. I can't do that in the hood. It's a comedy and we got a lotta celebrity cameos. It shows us taking meetings, recording, filming, etc., but comedy with it. No boring sitting there negotiating s**t." The series, which was green-lighted Wednesday (Sept. 20) by MTV, will premiere in the first quarter of 2007 with eight half-hour episodes.

"Mogul/rapper Master P. is replacing his son, rapper/actor Lil’ Romeo in the upcoming reality competition, “Dancing With the Stars,” debuting in 2006 on ABC. Lil’ Romeo was originally tapped to star in the show - which requires competitors to master ballroom dancing – but had to be replaced when he suffered an injury playing basketball. Master P. will be partnered with Ashly Delgrosso, a professional ballroom dancer who danced with former New Kids on the Block member Joey McIntyre last season. Each Thursday, the couples perform a ballroom or Latin American dance to be judge by other professional dancers and judges."

"Dancing with the Stars is the American version of the international smash hit series, Strictly Come Dancing."

"A girl called Lady Sovereign met up with this man named Jay-Z. Ess-Oh-Vee and Jiggaman were catching up when LA Reid popped into say hi, followed soon after by the one like Usher and new Def Jam hitstress, Tiarra. After a bout of chilling the Lady Sovereign is asked to off load her weight in verses, acappella style. Three mean 32's later and the all-star audience can't wait to hear more. An hour on head honcho Jay-Z gives Sovereign his full backing ("she has an amazing personality") and states that he'll organise her studio time and "start cutting some tracks" with The Neptunes & Missy Elliot... Chapter 2 to follow, but this ladies and gentlemen is a true story."

“Yeah man for me, I’m feeling the whole rock thing. It’s raw energy, like pure passion; kinda like my music.”

When asked which artists he was feeling in rock, he replied, “They did some song called ‘American Idiot’. I think they’re called Green Day… Yeah, they’re heavy! They’re on like a political level but I like them still. I’d definitely like to do a track with them. Get the Grime-rock thing going on!”

Diddy vs. Diddy
09:16pm 16/08/2005
  Friday, July 22nd:

...Word is P.Diddy is set to change his stage name when his new album hits stores later this year. Formerly known as Puff Daddy and often called Puff or Puffy, Diddy told US Weekly Magazine "And I'm about to change it again, because I can." Puff also added that he will be adopting a new attitude along with the new moniker. "You'll be seeing another side of me, I'm going back to more of the days when there was true rock and roll stars," Puff offered. "I will be playing a character. There will be something a little eccentric, a little bit different; something we'll be able to have fun with. Something, I think, that's missing in music right now."

Tuesday, August 16:

US rapper Sean "P Diddy" Combs is changing his name again - by dropping the "P".

Combs said he now wanted to be known just as "Diddy" as his old name was causing confusion and he wanted to "simplify things".
The 35-year-old singer and producer has already changed his nickname once - from Puff Daddy to P Diddy in 2001.
The change forms part of a publicity campaign for the MTV Awards, which Diddy is hosting later this month.

'Uncomfortable'

He told the New York Post that his name was even starting to confuse himself.
"Nobody knew what to call me. I'd notice that people were uncomfortable when I'd meet them for the first time, and then they'd ask me what they should call me," he said.
"I even started to get confused myself - and when I'd called someone on the telephone it took me a long time to explain who I was. Too long."
He added: "One word. Five letters. Period."

"Nas Rumour Best Thing On Internet Right Now"
05:29pm 15/08/2005
"The Neptunes are currently rolling in a whole wedge of Benjamins after rapper Nas reportedly paid them $2million for a beat.

The track is reportedly so good that a whole host of Hip Hop’s leading lights were in the running to purchase the miracle cut, including P. Diddy and Busta Rhymes.

Apparently after Rhymes heard that the track had been sold he raged: "Ah sh*t, thats the craziest beat, I ever heard! Those drums man, those drums are fire! If Nas is gonna rap to this beat, it’s going to be over. This will be the biggest hit in the history of hip hop."
